Welcome to Phil Hodson Wildlife Photography

Welcome to my site.
I have been interested in the Natural world since a very early age when I was first shown birds' nests by my Uncle, whilst walking the fells around Barnoldswick and Gisburn.
I kept the interest and whilst doing A levels had a project to study the survival rate of Linnet nests on the Fylde. I soon needed a camera and bought a Zenith E to record nest sites and the birds. Many cameras later I was hooked on recording the Natural World.
In 1977 I joined a Photo Society and had considerable success both locally and at International level. With the arrival of children it all came to an abrupt stop in 1992.
My interest was re kindled in 2007 with the purchase of a new fangled digital camera. This led to lenses for everything from macro to telephoto and I have been re living my previous photographic life with the updated technology.
I re-joined a Photo Society, Poulton Photo Society, and once again enter competitions Nationally and Internationally
I hope you enjoy looking at some of the less well known subjects.
